The Old Town is the oldest district of the town and one of the most prominent tourist attractions. In the centre of Warsaw you can find the Palace of Culture and Science which is the most visible landmark of the city and the most famous tourist attraction. There is a breathtaking roof terrace on the top of it. In the Palace there are also many exhibitions and a cinema. It can pose an unforgettable sightseeing place for every tourist.
Another impressive palace to find in Warsaw is the Wilanow Palace. It poses one of the most important monuments of Polish culture. It survived Poland’s partition as well as both World Wars preserving its original character. Now the Palace, which is surrounded by a magnificent park, forms a museum.
In Warsaw there are many other museums and art galleries worth visiting. The most unique one isthe Warsaw Rising Museum dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Apart from it there is also the National Museum, which is one of the largest museums in Poland and the largest in Warsaw. Ancient art, Polish and foreign paintings as well as numismatic collection and applied arts can be found there.
Frederic Chopin Museum is dedicated to Frederic Chopin and covers the works and mementos of the composer such as letters, manuscripts, photographs and documents.
In Warsaw there is also a very unique Zacheta National Gallery of Art – the most notable and the largest contemporary art gallery in Warsaw. It was the first building to perform works of art in the capital of Poland. The gallery exhibits the most impressive works of the best artists. You can also participate there in meetings with the artists, promotional events and many interesting lectures.

[here is also the Saxon Garden and Pilsudski Square – a public garden located in the downtown which dates back to the 17th century. The garden is the oldest one in Warsaw and one of the first in the world to be opened to the public.
Warsaw is full of shopping centres where stores, restaurants and entertainment can be found. The Zlote Tarasy Centre is especially worth visiting. The center is a perfect place to go and relax after a sightseeing trip in Warsaw. You can have a drink or a snack and do shopping there admiring its modern and unique architecture at the same time.
